Levon Melik-Shahnazaryan's Death is a Great Loss for Our Country
After a heavy and long illness a public figure, a politician, the director of "Voskanapat" Analytical Center Levon Melik-Shahnazaryan died yesterday, on August 11.
Levon Melik-Shahnazaryan was born in 1958 in Kirovabad, but in 1988 moved to Artsakh. He has been the deputy head of "Miatsum" movement. In 1991 was elected to the National Assembly. From 1992 to 1995 has been the head of the NKR National Assembly Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs. In 1997 Melik-Shahnazaryan moved to Yerevan, where he was engaged in teaching and research activities. He has authored more than 500 scientific articles and analytics.
According to his son Hrant Melik-Shahnazaryan, the funeral will take place on August 13 at 1 pm.
"Armedia" IAA team expresses its deepest condolences to Levon Melik-Shahnazaryan's family and friends. He was one of those figures in the Armenian society, who had a significant contribution in the field of research development and his death is a great loss for our country.
