The Extradition of Lapshin Can’t Have Any Effect on Further Visits to Artsakh
As the Ombudsman’s Office reports, Arman Tatoyan had a meeting in Brussels with MEP Frank Engel from Luxembourg, during which issues related to freedom of expression and journalistic activities, as well as issues related to their activities in Nagorno Karabakh Republic were discussed.
Frank Engel stressed that the work of journalists in NKR has a very important significance and it must be boosted. According to him, the extradiction of Alexander Lapshin can’t have any effect on further visits to NKR.
This is being informed by Armenpress news agency.
Due to Engel, visits to Artsakh should be more from now on. He emphasized that the Ombudsman of NKR and the civil society must take part in international discussions and meetings.
In his turn Armenia’s Ombudsman Arman Tatoyan highlighted, that he takes every effort to contribute the visits to Nagorno Karabakh and involvement of NKR’s democratic institutions. As news agency reports, in this context important agreements have been reached on further joint actions.
