In Catalonia a Candidate to Head Generalitat Is Put Forward

The Chairman of the Parliament of Catalonia Roger Torren nominated for the post of head of government of the Autonomous community Jordi Sanchez, a politician who is currently in custody in a Madrid jail, Russia News Today reports.
On Monday evening the speaker of the Parliament of the Autonomous community Roger Torren after consultations with the parliamentary factions formally nominated Sanchez stated in the relevant proposal, published on the Parliament website. The document also explains that this candidate ''enjoys the greatest support''.
In addition to personally appear at the meeting at which voting takes place, Sanchez needs to get permission from a judge of the Supreme Court.
