Turkey Recalled that Venezuela Recognized the Armenian Genocide in 2005

In the recent days in the background of political upheavals in Venezuela, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has voiced support for Venezuela's Nicolas Maduro.
In an article published in the Turkish newspaper "Milli gazete'', it was recalled that the parliament of Venezuela recognized the Armenian Genocide in 2005. The source pointed out that at that time the Speaker of the Venezuelan Parliament was the current President Maduro, Ermenihaber reports.
"On July 14, 2005, the Parliament of Venezuela has adopted a resolution that recognizes the Armenian genocide and asked the European Union to place preconditions on Turkey’s EU bid," reads the article.
