Some Roads in Armenia are Closed and Difficult to Pass

According to the Ministry of ES of RA on February 20 by 15:00 some roads in Armenia are closed and difficult to pass.

Vardenyats Pass is closed for trailer trucks and is difficult to pass for passenger cars.

The intercommunity roadways Amasia-Zarishat, Amasia-Berdashen of Shirak Province, roadways of Nigavan, Lusagyugh, Vardenis, Chknagh, Yeghipatrush, Mirak, Ttujur, Tsaghkashen-Aragats-Vardenut and Dzoraglukh villages (Aparan region) of Aragatsotn Province, as well as those of Sipan, Avshen, Charchakis, Mijnatun, Shenkani, Lernarot (Aragats region) are closed.

Sotk-Karvachar roadway and the regional roadways of Hnaberd village of Aragatsotn Province, as well as on the intercommunity roadways of Ashotsk region of Shirak Province are difficult to pass. 

Black ice is formed on Gyumri-Ashotsk roadway of Shirak Province and on the roadways of Geghadzor village of Aragatsotn Province.

 It is recommended to all drivers to drive exceptionally on winter tires.

According to the information received from the Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia Stepantsminda-Larsi highway is open for all types of vehicles.

According to the information received from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation, Republic of North Ossetia, there are accumulated vehicles on the Russian part.
