Three New Coronavirus Cases Registered in Armenia
Three new coronavirus cases have been registered in Armenia, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan wrote on Facebook, Aysor.am reports.
The two are citizens of Armenia (45 and 27 years old) and the one is citizen of Italy, 51, working in Armenia. The three arrived from Italy.
Currently the circle of their contacts is being specified to isolate them. The PM said according to preliminary information it is not big.
The Italian national and one of the Armenian citizens have no complaints while the other Armenia has pneumonia. The mentioned people were registered upon their arrival.
''Predicting the criticism on why the flights from Italy were not suspended, I will say that such opportunity was discussed several times. We came to obvious conclusion that the potential infected may come to Armenia from Italy’s neighbor countries – France, Austria as no restrictions were applied inside the EU,'' the PM wrote, saying that with the same logic all the directions from Europe must have been suspended.
''Now the airlines decided to suspend flights from Italy on their own,'' he said, adding that the people quarantined in Golden Palace hotel and the first person diagnosed with coronavirus feel well.
''Dear compatriots, please keep calm and follow the instructions of Health Ministry on preventing spread of coronavirus,'' the premier wrote.
