I Can't Provide Much Information: Pashinyan Speaks with Wife of Armenian Captive in Azerbaijan
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, accompanied by Minister of Defense Davit Tonoyan and Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures Suren Papikyan, on Saturday paid a working visit to Syunik Province, making the first stop in the village of Khndzoresk. The premier took part in an event marking the Sparapet (Supreme Commander) Day in the village.
In Khndzoresk, the Prime Minister was welcomed with applause, military song and dances, which was followed by the oath-taking ceremony of the servicemen.
As Panorama.am reports, Pashinyan next met with the residents of Khndzoresk. After the usual "selfie ritual", the prime minister approached the children, first congratulating them on the Sparapet Day and then reminding them that they should return to school starting from Tuesday.
During the visit, the wife of Narek Sardaryan, a Khndzoresk resident held captive in Azerbaijan, approached Pashinyan and asked for any information about her husband.
In response, the premier said that, unfortunately, he could not provide much information, as the man did not end up at a relative, but an adversary.
"We still need to figure the things out, in any case, be strong!" Pashinyan said.
