Russian Peacekeepers Opening New Kindergarten in Karabakh
Russian peacekeepers, together with philanthropists, will be establishing a new kindergarten for 40 children from the villages of Nor Ghazanchi and Kichan in the Martakert region of Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh), PanArmenia reports, referring to the Russian Defense Ministry statement.
"Together with the coordinating council, which includes the Mercy Foundation, peacekeeping forces, heads of local administrations arrived in the settlement, where the authorities allocated the space planned for the construction of the kindergarten," Ruslan Ivanov, a representative for the Humanitarian Response Center, has said.
"In this kindergarten, conditions will be created for taking care of two groups, one for children aged 5, as well as a younger group for kids aged 4. After inspecting the building, it was decided to build 8 rooms."
New jobs for the local population will be created in the kindergarten. Staff will be hired on a competitive basis, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
