Davit Harutyunyan: the Audit will Take 3-6 Months
The slogan "We are the masters of our country," suggests that the protesters should come up not only with requirements, but also to participate in the processes taking place in the country.
The observed social activity shows that people are willing to join the process, be informed of the developments in the country and become participants of decision-making. This was declared by the Minister-Chief of the RA Government Staff Davit Harutyunyan, tert.am reports.
"This is the rational decision that should be suggested. Mistrust is the most destructive thing on the earth. It has a lot of reasons – there are many unsolved problems in the country, which give rise to this mistrust," he said.
According to him, until 2036 it should be planned what processes should be initiated in the energy system of the country. In his opinion, the audit of "ENA" will allow to understand how justified the increase in electricity tariff is, what the threats are if the tariff is not increased. The audit will take 3-6 months.
In an answer to the question whether subsidy will be paid at the expanse of taxpayers, Davit Harutyunyan answered that in case it turns out the price increase is not justified, this money will be charged from distribution networks.
Speaking of resale or nationalization of "ENA", Harutyunyan noted that in theory the both options should not be excluded, but there is an important principle: the state should never manage the company.
"In the case of nationalization, we must choose a well-known international company for its management. Unfortunately, we have a sad experience, when the state managed the company. In those times we had a debt of $ 50-100 million dollars, which again was compensated from the budget. That is unacceptable, " David Harutyunyan said.
