Summarizing the Super Tuesday in the US

youtube

The first of March has been described in the US as Super Tuesday. The point is that during just one day,  twelve states of the US held primaries, during which citizens expressed their support to both Republican and Democrat candidates competing with each other.

According to all the predictions, Republican billionaire Donald Trump gained most of the votes declaring himself the winner of Super Tuesday.

He has won the primary elections in six states (Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, Arkansas and Virginia) . While his main co-partizan competitor Ted Cruz won only in Texas and Oklahoma, and Marco Rubio in turn succeeded only in Minnesota state.

"I am a unifier. When we get all of this finished, I’m going to go after one person, Hillary Clinton," Trump said, as The Washington Post reports. He rejected suggestions that his comments — about Mexican immigrants, mass deportation of undocumented immigrants and a ban on Muslim foreigners entering the country — had divided his party.

"We are going to be a much finer party. We’re going to be a unified party," Trump said. "I mean, to be honest with you. And we are going to be a much bigger party. Our party is expanding," he said.

The Democrat Hillary Clinton in turn, as it was expected, won in Georgia, Virginia, Alabama, Tennessee, Arkansas, Massachusetts and Texas states, while her main rival, Senator Bernie Sanders won only in his home state of Vermont and Oklahoma.

"Our work is not to make America great again. America never stopped being great. We have to make America whole," Clinton said, The Atlantic reports. "I believe what we need in America today is more love and kindness." She delivered some fiery lines as well. "If you cheat your employees, exploit consumers, pollute our environment, or rip off the taxpayers we are going to hold you accountable."

However, regardless of the outcome of the rest of the primaries, one can already say that the final race for President will surely be between the former US Secretary of State, Democrat Hillary Clinton and the Republican billionaire Donald Trump.
