Due to Azerbaijan Artsakh Appeared in the Center of International Attention
As a result of aggression unleashed by Azerbaijan on NKR-Azerbaijan border in the recent days, not only Azerbaijan lost the four-day war, being forced once again to ask for a ceasefire, but also indirectly had its role in Nagorno-Karabakh Republic becoming in the center of international attention. To prove this we just need to address a few important facts.
First, the developments in Artsakh in these days became a top subject for such international news websites and television channels, such as Stratfor, France 24, BBC, Euronews, CNN, Reuters, New York Times, Aljazeera and others. It is interesting to note that many of these international media agences were not covering the events in NKR from afar, but were sending their reporters there, who were talking with the residents, were visiting hospitals whereas a result of Azerbaijani aggression injured soldiers, civilians, including the elderly and children were receiving treatment.
In this context, another important factor is that the media was also presenting in their reports the position of official Stepanakert along with the Azerbaijani one, speaking with the officials of Nagorno-Karabakh Republic. Among them the most discussed one was CNN report during which direct connection was made both with NKR Foreign Minister Karen Mirzoyan and Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov, that is the Foreign Ministers of both conflicting parties. When speaking with Mammadyarov, the broadcaster emphasizes the fact that NKR became independent back in the early 90s, which makes illogical the claims of Azerbaijan that it was NKR that unleashed the military operations.
NKR representatives who were abroad these days were also in the attention of international media. In France, USA, Russia, Australia and other countries, representatives of Artsakh got an opportunity to express their views and speak out about Azerbaijan's aggression on such prestigious media companies, such as France 24, Aljazeera, ABC News, Sputnik, Al-Masdar and so on.
Besides, many analytical articles were published in the leading media companies in which an attempt was made to understand the origins of the conflict, the parties' positions, as well as the causes of the current tension. Among them the most discussed one was Carnegie Foundation’s analyst Thomas de Waal’s "Dangerous Days in Karabakh" article, where the author states that as a losing side in the early 90s war, the violations are more in the interests of Azerbaijan.
The parliamentarians from different countries also raised their voices against the Azerbaijani aggression, speaking by joint calls, posts on social pages , participating in various events. For example, the French parliamentarians published a joint statement in "Le Monde’" magazine, where they discussed the two following important theses: the indifference of the international community led to the current Azerbaijani aggression and Azerbaijani aggression in turn showed that the people of Artsakh can never feel safe being a part of Azerbaijan.

85 US Congressmen urged the US President to support the implementation of concrete steps, such as installing investigation mechanisms on the borders, withdrawal of snipers, etc. These steps were supported by Artsakh and Armenia, but rejected by Azerbaijan, which proves once more that it is Azerbaijan that should be called aggressor.
In recent days the Armenian Diaspora also contributed to the raised popularity of Artsakh. In the United States, Australia, European countries Diaspora organized a number of protests expressing their anger against Azerbaijani aggression and holding banners and posters written "Artsakh" on them.
Thus, summing up it only remains to state that as a result of its aggressive actions Azerbaijan did not get what it expected, moreover once again proved to the whole world and also to itself that the final word in Karabakh conflict settlement will be of the people of Artsakh, regardless of whether the solution will be reached in a political or a military way.
