Clinton and Sanders are For Increasing Military Spending of NATO States

Clinton and Sanders are in favor of increasing the military spending of NATO member countries. Hillary Clinton, US presidential candidate from the Democratic Party spoke in favour of the preservation of NATO as a tool of "containment of Russia".  
NATO, she argued, "is necessary in the context of the threat posed by Russia in respect of the Baltic States, as well as the situation in the east of Ukraine." "It is not in our interests, if Russia is not somehow balanced" - Clinton said.
Her rival for the presidency of the Democratic Party Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont also called for greater share of the costs within the alliance. "We take care of 75% of expenditure within the framework of NATO. I believe that the European countries have to bear a greater burden of military expenditure, and I would not hesitate to tell them about it."
