It will take Baku almost 30 years to resolve Karabakh mine problem: Aliyev

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said that it would take his country almost 30 years and $25 billion to resolve the mine problem in Karabakh, according to NEWS.am, TASS reported.
"Azerbaijan is among the most mine-polluted countries in the world. According to preliminary estimates, Armenia has laid more than one million mines. According to the estimates of international experts, it will take Azerbaijan nearly 30 years and $25 billion to solve the mine problem," Aliyev said speaking Thursday in Astana.
He reported that in the two years since the end of the war in Karabakh more than 250 citizens of Azerbaijan had been killed or seriously wounded as a result of mine explosions.
