Armenian PM: Italy is friendly country, important partner for us

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan sent a congratulatory message to Giorgia Meloni on the occasion of her appointment as the Prime Minister of the Italian Republic.

"Your Excellency,

I warmly congratulate you on your appointment as the Prime Minister of the Italian Republic, wishing you fruitful activity and great success in this responsible position.

I am sure that friendly Italy will make great progress in various fields thanks to your skillful management.

Italy is a friendly country and an important partner for us. Armenia attaches great importance to the consistent development and deepening of friendly ties with Italy based on common civilization, democratic values, mutual interests and mutual sympathy between our peoples.

Due to your fair and firm positions in this period of vital importance for the Armenian people, you enjoy great respect not only in the Italian-Armenian community, but also in the Armenian society. I am confident that during your leadership we will manage to record new joint achievements, raising the cooperation between Armenia and Italy to a new qualitative level in all areas of mutual interest.

I sincerely hope that in the near future we will have the opportunity to meet and discuss the entire agenda of our bilateral relations and outline the prospects of further cooperation," reads the message of the Prime Minister.
