Cabinet members hold moment of silence in memory of 1999 parliament attack victims
Members of the Cabinet of Armenia held a moment of silence during today’s session for the victims of the 1999 October 27 parliament attack, Armenpress reports.
“Today marks the 23rd anniversary of the terror attack of October 27, 1999. That terrorism was an attack against the Republic of Armenia, its sovereignty and independence, the leadership elected by the people. On that day, the terror group that invaded the Parliament during the Q&A session killed with assault rifles Speaker of the National Assembly Karen Demirchyan, Prime Minister Vazgen Sargsyan, Vice Speakers of the National Assembly Yuri Bakhshyan and Ruben Miroyan, Minister for Operational Issues Leonard Petrosyan, Members of Parliament Armenak Armenakyan, Henrik Abrahamyan and Mikayel Kotanyan.
I ask you to pay tribute to the memory of the October 27 terror victims with a moment of silence”, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at the Cabinet meeting today.
