Is It a Step Back? Poroshenko Asks for Military Assistance from Biden
The President of Ukraine, Petro Proshenko, had a telephone conversation with the US Vice President, Joe Biden, during which he stressed the necessity to initiate steps, that will be directed to stopping present escalation in Eastern Ukraine, rosbalt.ru reports citing to the press service of the Ukrainian President.
President of Ukraine also called the US Vice President to realize “the previous statements made by the US of providing additional resources to Ukraine necessary for its self-defense.”
Biden, in his turn, restated the US assistance to Ukraine.
The officials agreed that it became impossible to keep ceasefire in Donbass because of the attacks by “separatist forces”.
It is pertinent to mention that previously the Ukrainian Defense Minister presented the list of necessary military equipments to the US.
