Discussion on Armenian-American Relation at US Congress

On February 19, the U.S. Congressional Armenian Caucus Co-Chair Frank Pallone organized a special discussion. The speakers of the discussion were the Deputy Chief of Mission of the Republic of Armenia to the United States Hratchia Tashchian, the Nagorno Karabakh Republic Representative Robert Avetisyan, the executive director of Armenian National Committee of America Aram Suren Hamparian and the representative of the Armenian Assembly of America Taniel Koushakjian. Representatives from the staff of more than 60 Congress members also participated in the discussion.

The speakers appreciated the role of the Caucus in raising different questions concerning Armenia and the Armenian people and for always including them on the US political agenda. Hratchia Tashchian in his speech presented Armenia-US relations, Armenia’s foreign policy priorities, Armenia’s accession to the Eurasian Economic Union, questions on strengthening Armena’s relations with the EU. Hratchia Tashchian also stressed the US contribution in the development of Armenia, strengthening democratic institutions and civil society.
