Iran: Netanyahu's Speech was a Performance Full of Deception

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the US Congress by sharply criticizing the nuclear deal, which the Obama administration, members of the UN Security Council and Germany are currently discussing with Iran. One should pay a special attention to Netanyahu’s conclusion, where he said that the nuclear deal can lead "to genocide of the Jewish people." He noted that this agreement isn’t a "farewell to arms", but a "farewell to arms control." The Prime Minister stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran is dangerous not less than "Islamic state."

Obama’s administration called Netanyahu’s speech a "show". "Not a single new idea, no alternative, solid rhetoric and no action," - Washington commented on Netanyahu’s speech. They think that the Netanyahu government is trying to disrupt an agreement with Iran, while not offering any reasonable alternative.

It is noted that Israeli Prime Minister has never been less popular in the US than he is now. More than 50 members of Congress refused to attend the presentation, because they believed that the Israeli Prime Minister had shown disrespect towards Obama.

Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman Marzieh Afkhame, referring to this speech, said: "The forces, which have artificially caused Iranian nuclear crisis, are in the deadlock," - FARS reports. Iranian Foreign Ministry official said that "Netanyahu's speech was a performance full of deception. No doubt, that Zionist regime (Israel) can not have any impact on international public opinion."

"Netanyahu's statement is the evidence of the weakness and isolation of Israel supporting forces and radical groups. This statement attempts to keep unconsciousness and radical approaches in the international policy agenda," - Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman stated.
