Poroshenko Claims to Demonopolize Ukraine's Economy
President of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, declared that Ukraine's economy must be demonopolized, Sputnik News reports,
"We need to demonopolize Ukraine's economy and ban oligarchs from influencing authorities."
In addition the president tried to defense himself noting that he financed his presidential campaign himself, and had not received "a penny of assistance to this day."
It is interesting to note that although Poroshenko vowed to sell off his business, Roshen Confectionery Corporation, in order to focus on governance, it is reported that the company is still in his property.
