Ramzan Kadyrov: Turkey Acted Vilely Downing the Russian Su-24

Turkey did not have any reasons to shoot down the Russian Su-24 bomber in Syria but had dozens of possibilities not to allow this to happen, Chechnya head Ramzan Kadyrov has told the journalists in Grozny.

"As a result, they spoiled their relations with Russia and achieved nothing else," Kadyrov said. “Turkey acted vilely when it downed our jet, and the pilot whom they killed was ours as well. A total of 26 million Muslims live in Russia, and this vile act was committed against us as well," the Chechen leader said adding that Turkey is a secular state by the Constitution, and there are also many Christians living in the country, TASS reports.

"Much more in Russia is in line with Islamic canons than in Turkey...I will also remind that Chechens are the third-largest nationality in the country. We are part of this country and are interested in the stability and well-being of our Motherland," Kadyrov said.
