Syria: the Government and the Opposition Declared Their Participation in the Truce

The government and the opposition of Syria declared their commitment to the ceasefire regime in the country, which should enter into force on the night of February 27.

As RIA Novosti reports, Russia and the United States prepared a draft UN Security Council resolution on Syria, which fixes that the ceasefire in the country will enter into force on February 27.

The resolution notes and welcomes that "the Syrian government forces and their supporters reported the Russian Federation and the Syrian opposition groups reported Russia and the United States, including through the High Committee for the negotiations that have accept and express commitment to the terms of a cessation of hostilities, and they are now party to it."
