Ambassador of Japan Presented the Copies of His Credentials to the RA Foreign Minister
On May 29, Foreign Minister of Armenia Zohrab Mnatsakanyan received the newly appointed Ambassador of Japan Jun Yamada, who presented the copies of his credentials, the press service of the RA Foreign Ministry reports.
Congratulating the Ambassador on his appointment, Minister Mnatsakanyan expressed hope that Ambassador Yamada will contribute with his activities to the development of Armenian-Japanese relations.
Expressing gratitude for the reception and good wishes, Japanese Ambassador Yamada congratulated Minister Mnatsakanyan on his appointment to a responsible office and assured that he would exert maximum efforts to raise the Armenian-Japanese friendly relations to a qualitatively new level.
Minister Mnatsakanyan and Ambassador Yamada highlighted the importance of high-level contacts and mutual visits for the development of bilateral relations, exchanged views on holding political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, which will provide a good opportunity to evaluate the accomplished work and to outline the directions of further cooperation.
The interlocutors touched upon the expansion of the legal framework, the course of implementation of programmes aimed at development of trade and economic cooperation, and Armenia-Japan collaboration in different international formats.
