Nikol Pashinyan Holds Phone Conversation With Justin Trudeau
Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had a phone conversation with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
Congratulating Nikol Pashinyan on holding high-level elections in Armenia, the Prime Minister of Canada said it was crucial not only for Armenia, but for the whole region and for the world, in general.
Nikol Pashinyan thanked Justin Trudeau for congratulations and highlighted the importance of international observers’ high opinion of Armenia’s latest elections.
“We will enjoy more opportunities on the way to developing and promoting Armenian-Canadian relations; the time has come to endeavor to that end,” Nikol Pashinyan underscored.
Justin Trudeau assured of his government’s readiness and his personal willingness to make every effort to back Armenia. He noted that Canada has great investment opportunities in many spheres, and his government is prepared to implement them in Armenia. The Acting Prime Minister of Armenia said Armenia needs Canadian investments that will bring high standards of governance to our country.
“We are committed to making efforts for our country to become as attractive as possible for Canadian businesses and investors, in general. We are well aware that the existence of an independent judiciary is crucial in this regard, and we are committed to reform the judiciary and upgrade it to the highest standards, just as in Canada. I am glad that we share the same vision of democracy,” Nikol Pashinyan concluded.
The leaders of the two countries expressed the hope that they could meet again in the near future and discuss issues high on the bilateral agenda.
