Pashinyan: Human Mind Attracts Highest Investments in Modern World

In his opening speech at the event, held in the resort town of Dilijan (Tavush region), the premier emphasized particularly the unequaled power of the human potential which he said "can be tantamount only to the spatial factor", Tert.am reports.

"The locomotives of economy today are the spheres that bear a direct relationship to the human mind. And the things have now gone so far that the human mind is no longer satisfied with its potential amid the global processes of developing artificial intelligence. This, in point of fact, is the main economic trend of the 21st century, the modern world," he noted.

The premier also called for a deeper insight into the structure of the global economy "to observe the most dramatic and striking changes" making the products of the human mind, intellect and talent the leading factors of the past couple of decades.

The annual intellectual event, held traditionally in the French city of Chamonix, is this year for the first time ever being conducted in Armenia, attracting high-ranking and prominent guests such as French Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin, former US National Security Advisor James Jones (in President Barack Obama’s administration), a special representative for the Russian president on cultural cooperation issues, Mikhail Shvidkoy, Director of the UN Investment and Enterprise Division James Zhan, former UK Secretary of HealthLord   Ara Darzi (currently the director of the Global Innovation Institute at the London Imperial College), and others.

Panel discussions will be conducted in both Dilijan and Yerevan to address such topics as "Geopolitics and Development on Eurasia and Middle East; the Big Chessboard", "High-Tech Management: Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy", "Fourth Industrial Revolution: The Quantum Nature of Global Risks and Politics", etc.
