Some Roads in Armenia are Closed and Difficult to Pass
The Ministry of ES of RA has informed that some roads are closed and difficult to pass in the Republic of Armenia.
The roadways leading from "Amberd" high mountain meteorological station to Amberd fortress and to Kari lake in Aragatsotn province, and Berd-Chambarak roadway are closed.
Vardenyats Pass is closed for trucks and difficult to pass for other types of vehicles.
Spitak turns of Lori province are difficult to pass.
Black ice is noticed in Talin, Aparan, Aragats regions of Aragatsotn province and in the section called Sisian-"Zanger" of Syunik province.
It is snowing in Aparan region of Aragatsotn province, in Gyumri town and Amasia region of Shirak province, in Hrazdan, Charentsavan and Tsaghkadzor towns of Kotayk province, in Jermuk town of Vayots dzor province.
According to the information provided by the Department of Emergency Situations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and from the Department of Crisis Management Center of the Republic of North Ossetia of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation, Stepantsminda-Larsi highway is closed for trucks: there are about 470 trucks accumulated on the Russian side.
Drivers are recommended to drive exclusively on winter tires.
