CSTO Collective Security Council Chairman Gives Instructions on Situation in Armenia’s Syunik
Armenia’s acting foreign minister Ara Aivazian had a phone conversation with the chairman of the CSTO Council of FMs, foreign minister of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin, Aysor.am reports.
The foreign ministers discussed the situation created from May 12 on Armenia’s state border and steps undertaken to settle the situation.
Ara Aivazian stressed the need of launching the mechanism of immediate consultations in the CSTO envisaged by Article 2 of the CSTO agreement.
Mukhriddin noted that president of Tajikistan [currentlly chairman of the CSTO Collective Security Council] has already given relevant instructions.
