On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Armenia, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ebrahim Raisi sent a congratulatory message to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan.
The message states,
‘’Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia,
Your Excellency,
I sincerely congratulate Your Excellency and the people of Armenia on the national holiday of the Republic of Armenia.
It is gratifying that in the past years the mutually beneficial relations between the two neighboring countries, the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Armenia, have progressed, developed in quantitative and qualitative terms. However, given the new regional and global conditions, the great potential of the two countries has acquired greater importance for the deepening of bilateral relations, the need to implement previously reached agreements, redouble efforts, discover new areas of cooperation and strengthening of structural links between the two countries, particularly in the spheres of transportations and energy.
I consider the coincidence of the launch of the new Governments of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Armenia a blessing, and I think that due to the diligence and vigilance of the parties, and based on the efforts of the state bodies of the two countries, it will be possible to achieve significant achievements in this new round in the direction of regional security, stability and the strengthening of interests of two friendly nations.
I pray to the Lord for health and success to Your Excellency, and welfare to the people of the Republic of Armenia’’.
