PM Pashinyan Receives Ambassador of Italy to Armenia Alfonso Di Rizzo
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Italy to the Republic of Armenia Alfonso Di Rizzo.
The Prime Minister congratulated Mr. Di Rizzo on assuming the post and wished him success in the further development of the Armenian-Italian friendly relations. Nikol Pashinyan highlighted the continuous progress of political and economic cooperation between Armenia and Italy, and expressed confidence that it will be possible to achieve concrete results through the joint efforts of the governments of the two countries. The Prime Minister emphasized the development of bilateral economic cooperation, including by holding business forums and promoting business ties. Nikol Pashinyan warmly recalled his official visit to Italy in 2019 and highlighted the high-level reciprocal visits, which give a new impetus to the expansion of cooperation in various fields.
Alfonso Di Rizzo assured that during his tenure he will make every effort to strengthen cooperation between the two countries. The Ambassador also stressed the need to develop trade and economic ties, adding that the Italian side is interested in discussing and implementing new investment programs with Armenia.
The interlocutors considered the expansion of cooperation in various sectors of the economy, including high technologies, tourism, construction and agriculture, as promising, emphasizing that there is great potential. The parties discussed the intensification of the activities of the Armenian-Italian intergovernmental commission, the possibility of holding a sitting in the near future, as well as issues related to cooperation in the fields of healthcare, justice and other spheres.
