Minsk Group Co-Chairs and Iranian Foreign Minister on Official Visit in Azerbaijan
The US Minsk Group Co-Chair, James Warlick posted on his Twitter page about Minsk Group expectations from their visit to Baku. On the occasion he particularly noted: "We expect serious talks with president Aliyev and others about steps towards a peaceful settlement in Nagorno-Karabakh. All can benefit." Mediators have already arrived in Baku. After their Baku visit they plan to leave for Yerevan and later for Nagorno-Karabakh Republic.
Meanwhile Foreign Minister of Iran Mohammad Javad Zarif is also on his official visit in Baku. In the press conference commenting on the results of the official meeting with Mohammad Javad Zarif Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov did not hesitate to restate Azerbaijani demands from the Minsk Group Co-Chairs, where he particularly noted:
"Azerbaijan has already expressed its position, stating that the co-chairs should start working on a peace agreement based on the six-article Madrid principles. Serious negotiations are necessary for achievement of peace", - APA reports.
