French President Changed did not Keep His Campaign Promise
The French President Francois Hollande changed one of his campaign promises, replacing a female minister with a representative of the stronger sex, and thus violating the parity between women and men in the government, RIA Novosti reports.
The French Justice Minister Christiane Taubira has stepped down from her job, shortly before plans to strip people convicted of terrorism of their citizenship go before parliament, BBC writes.
"Now there are 17 men and 15 women, there is no parity anymore? Yes, it turns out to be like that. To be honest, today, this issue was not discussed," government spokesman Stephane Le Fol said in a answer to the question of French journalist.
