Armenia Official, US Envoy Discuss Matters of Mutual Interest
The Minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia, Rustam Badasyan, today received US Ambassador Lynne Tracy.
Badasyan expressed gratitude for the US assistance to Armenia’s reforms and underlined that as a result of close cooperation, the utmost will be done to deepen the cooperation and form a wider framework of cooperation.
The Minister reiterated that the fight against corruption is one of the priorities of the Government of Armenia and, in this context, he stressed the importance of close cooperation between the law enforcement agencies of the two countries.
The ambassador discussed the US government's assistance to Armenia in implementing ambitious police reforms, establishing anticorruption institutions, and combating human trafficking that are in the domain of US-Armenia mutual interest.
