Lavrov: 1994 Ceasefire is Permanent and Should be Fully Respected
"We discussed the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone," Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said. These tragic events have shown once again that the conflict has no military solution. He noted that 1994 ceasefire is a principal one, it is a permanent one and should be absolutely respected by everyone.
Russia, as an OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair, highlights the importance of the implementation of confidence and security measures, which have been agreed by Ministers. He also stressed the importance of putting investigation mechanisms.
"It would be unacceptable to further delay the implementation of those decisions," Lavrov said.
It should be reminded that Lavrov is in an official visit in Yerevan.
