Stoltenberg: "Georgia Has All Instruments to Prepare for NATO Membership"

Georgia has all necessary instruments to prepare for NATO membership, - NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said at the NATO-Georgia Commission session. He has thanked the PM and Georgian people for reception and congratulated them on the 25th anniversary of independence. 
"I would like to emphasize your achievements of previous years and the sacrifice of the Georgian soldiers for general security," Stoltenberg has said.
According to the NATO Secretary General a wide spectrum of issues will be discussed at the commission session. 
"The NATO-Georgia Commission was established in 2008. It is a forum for NATO-Georgia cooperation. The commission will discuss a wide spectrum of issues today including Black Sea security issues and recent developments.
We will also discuss the progress achieved in terms of implementation of NATO-Georgia substantial package. This is an initiative that took effect at the Wales summit and strengthened in Warsaw. It is aimed at intensification of our support towards Georgia. 
We have approved additional measures to make our strong cooperation mechanisms much stronger. As an aspirant country, Georgia has all necessary instruments to prepare for NATO membership. NATO remains devoted to providing Georgia with assistance on the path," he has remarked.
