EU civilian mission on border to be additional suppressive factor against possible new Azeri aggression - MP
The EU civilian mission on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border will contribute to stabilization and will be an additional suppressive factor against any possible new Azerbaijani aggression, Member of Parliament from the ruling Civil Contract caucus Vahagn Alexanyan said at a press briefing, Armenpress reports.
''Our position is unequivocal and clear, Azerbaijan must withdraw from our territories because the territorial integrity of the Republic of Armenia is not subject for bargain under any condition. That mission [EU], in our opinion, will definitely contribute to stabilization and will be an additional suppressive factor against a possible Azerbaijani aggression,'' Alexanyan said.
The concrete timeframes of the EU mission’s arrival are still under discussion, Civil Contract MP Hripsime Grigoryan added.
''But the statement mentioned October. We expect it by the end of the month,'' she said.
