Debates on Turkey's Security Bill Continue
Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) is suggesting amending 16 key articles of the domestic security bill that has caused such hot debates in Turkey. Such a statement was made by HDP Deputy Group Chair Pervin Buldan after their co-chair Demirtaş announced that in order to proceed with the Kurdish peace process, the package should be withdrawn, Hurriyet reports.
Buldan expressed confidence that the 16 articles objected by their party will most probably be changed through negotiations. "These amendments might come onto the agenda in the coming days. But meanwhile we will continue to object to the existing bill in the general assembly," – said Buldan
