Netanyahu Won the Elections
The Israeli right-wing Likud party received the majority of the votes in the parliamentary elections in Israel, in this way making it possible for Netanyahu to form the new government and become the Prime Minister of the country for the third time, RIA Novosti reports. Likud received 23.73% of the votes, the left-wing Zionist Union – 19.06%, the Joint Arab List – 9.63%.
Benjamin Netanyahu has already begun talks for forming a coalition. He has invited nationalist, ultra-Orthodox parties to form a coalition. As the Jerusalem Post reports Netanyahu wants to form a religious-nationalist government.
