Azerbaijanis Try to Claim the Armenian Musical Composition "Artsakh" to Be Theirs
Honored Artist Ara Gevorgyan, creating a well-known "Artsakh" song, could not even imagine that one day Azeris would claim the song to be theirs, ignoring the copyrights of the composer and using it in the videos showing the life of the Azerbaijani army, Araratnews.am writes, referring to the recent use of the composition "Artsakh" in a propaganda video of the Azerbaijani army.
According to Gevorgyan, in the near future, he plans to send 4 letters to Azerbaijan, and has already agreed with chairman of the Union of Composers and Musicologists of Armenia Aram Satyan about collecting all the necessary facts. "One letter will be addressed to the president, the second - the Minister of Culture, the third - the Union of Composers and the fourth - KVN team that uses the song directly from my disk. On the record play the State Philharmonic Orchestra of Armenia and me, Jivan Gasparyan plays duduk, Norayr Sharoyan plays on dhol"- the composer said.
