Pope Francis' Answer to Ankara
Pope Francis at the morning Mass at Casa Santa Marta in the Vatican has referred to Ankara’s dissatisfaction with the Pope’s words, when during the liturgy on April 12 he called the events of 1915 the first genocide of the 20th century, panorama.am reports. Thus as an answer to this dissatisfaction, Pope Francis said that the Church is a place of "openness" where people should say things with frankness.
"We cannot keep silent about what we have seen and heard. And today too, the Church’s message is the message of the path of openness, the path of Christian courage" - Pope Francis said.
