We Should Review Our Expectations From Our Partners on Foreign Policy Issues

In 2018, the Republic of Armenia will host a summit of La Francophonie. The organization of such a large-scale event is, of course, very important for Armenia and will, surely, have a number of positive impacts. The first one among them is the raised popularity of our country on various international platforms. Such an active and wide engagement on various international platforms will allow gaining new foreign contacts, new opportunities to make our stance on different issues more perceivable to the international community.

From this perspective, we have managed to gain new contacts in the framework of the International Organization La Francophonie and among others use those contacts to make our stance on the Karabakh conflict more perceivable to the international community. It is not by chance that for years in the final documents of the International Organization La Francophonie, the peaceful resolution of the conflict, based on three principles, was underlined.

Building on the existing achievements, at present we face a necessity to review our expectations from our partners on the issues important for us. The necessity of reviewing our expectations becomes even important, when, for example, Azerbaijan manages to make his partners in the Organization of Islamic Cooperation adopt unilateral, anti-Armenian stance on this issue. In this case the Armenian sides need to counterbalance the anti-Armenian stance in the international organizations.
