Named the World's Largest Exporters of Weapons

According to the report, the main world exporters were the United States, Russia, China, France and Germany. These countries account for 75 percent of global arms exports, the first two of which account for 57 percent of total exports.

The document states that in the period from 2014 to 2018, the Russian Federation supplied weapons to 48 countries. The main importers of Russian weapons were India, China and Algeria. It is also noted that since 2009, total exports from Russia decreased by 17 percent due to the reduction in arms supplies to India and Venezuela. India remained the main buyer of weapons from Russia, but since 2009, purchases have fallen by 42 percent, while imports into Venezuela have declined by 96 percent over the same period.

In addition, the report says that from 2014 to 2018, global exports increased by 7.8 percent. Among the regions, the largest increase in imports was in the Middle East, where Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Israel, Qatar and Iraq became the largest importing countries.
