RA Defense Ministry Spokesperson: the Situation on the Borders is Relatively Calm
The situation on Armenian-Azerbaijani and Artsakh-Azerbaijani borders was relatively calm at night. In a talk with Armenpress the RA Defense Ministry spokesperson said that compared with the last week, the number of shots has reduced, the level of tension as well.
"We can say that the tension has reduced. They shoot, but not so intensively as last week," – Artsrun Hovhannisyan said and added that the "silence" of the opponent is conditioned by the responsive actions of the Armenian forces, that is being carried out for providing security on the borders.
Referring to the incident of Sunday, when the serviceman Andranik Grigoryan crossed the border and went to the side of the opponent, the RA Defense Ministry spokesperson said that the case is under investigation.
On March 22, at about 1:50 p.m. the contract soldier of the NKR Defense Army Andranik Grigoryan left his position and passed to the Azerbaijani side.
