Armenia Through the Eyes of Foreign Artists

In the exhibition hall of the Museum of History in Yerevan, an exhibition is opened dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide entitled "Armenia through the eyes of foreign artists".

Works of 20 artists from 6 countries were created during the Open Festival of Painting "The Armenian Palette". The program is carried out with the assistance of the Yerevan City Municipality, on the initiative of "Pyunik" and the Patriotic Association "Lorva dzor" ("Lori Gorge").

According to the press service of the Yerevan Municipality, the opening ceremony was attended by Vice Mayor Aram Sukiasyan and David Ohanian. Congratulating on behalf of the Mayor on opening of the exhibition, Sukiasyan noted that, although the authors of the paintings are foreigners, their works truly show the Armenian palette.

Russian, Ukrainian, Kazakh, Georgian, Polish and Lithuanian artists with their paintings represent Armenian nature, historical and architectural monuments and people. With a separate topic the capital was presented. At the end of the festival the picture "The Colors of the capital Yerevan," created by all the artists participating in the festival, was given to Yerevan Municipality, Armenia Today reports.
