A Two-Day Truce Announced in Syria

The alliance of Islamists of Syria and the government forces have agreed to stop hostilities in three cities for 48 hours, so as the doctors were able to deliver assistance to those in need, BBC reports.

This, among others, refers also to a strategically important point – Zabadani, on the border with Lebanon.

According to human rights activists from the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, on the part of the rebels the organization "Ahrar al-Sham" close to "al-Nusra Front" was negotiating for the truce and from the side of Bashar Assad – Iranian diplomats.

The talks was also attended by the Lebanon-based Islamic organization "Hezbollah", which supports Assad.
