According to Declassified Data, the US Had Planned to Throw on Japan 12 Nuclear Bombs
In the media there was information from declassified military archives of the US Army, according to which for the bombing of Japan in 1945, another 12 nuclear bombs were prepared. New bombing was planned after the attacks on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, informs informus.ru.
On August 13, 1945 the third bomb was ready, the power of which was higher than that of those which fell on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The bombing was planned on the 19th of August.
The Americans planned to drop nuclear bombs on Tokyo, Kyoto, Kokura, Niigata and Yokohama. The main aim of the nuclear campaign was the "destruction of the infrastructure of Japan without land invasion."
