Turkish Parliament Extended the Mandate of Turkish Armed Forces to Take Actions in Iraq and Syria
During the September 3 extraordinary session, the Turkish parliament extended the mandate of Turkish Armed Forces to take military action in Iraq and Syria, Hurriyet reports. According to the source, this will be in effect for one year.
As Peoples’ Democratic Party Deputy Parliamentary Group Chair İdris Baluken claims, the motion is not directed against the IS militants, but against the Kurdish militant groups.
