German Foreign Minister Called not to Forget the Lessons of the Past

German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier called not to forget the lessons of the past and to reject all forms of discrimination in society, hatred and aggression against any groups, RIA Novosti reports.

On January 27 the world celebrates the International Holocaust Remembrance Day and the 71st anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz. That same day, the Red Army troops liberated the Nazi death camp Auschwitz.

"A large number of people are looking for protection from persecution, hatred, war and terror in our country, that we take very seriously. If people of other faiths and other ways of thinking can no longer feel in Europe safe none of us also can feel that way," the Minister said.
