Nalbandian: We Hope that the Senate will Approve the Bill Criminalizing the Armenian Genocide
Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian welcomed the French Parliament's decision to support the bill criminalizing the Armenian Genocide denial.
"Initiated by the Government of France, the bill that was unanimously approved by the Parliament, of course, is welcome," Nalbandian said in an interview with the Public Television of Armenia.
He expressed hope that the Senate will approve this bill, and it will have the force of law, the RA MFA reports.
"This is another important step by France, a valuable step for preventing genocides, crimes against humanity," he said.
