Sergio Mattarella Sent Congratulations to Armen Sarkissian
On the occasion of President Armen Sarkissian’s birth anniversary, President of Italy Sergio Mattarella sent a congratulatory message:
The Italian President cordially congratulated his Armenian counterpart and wished him personal and familial wellbeing. "I keep warm memories of our meetings in Yerevan and Rome which reiterated the importance of the relations between Armenia and Italy and note with pleasure their continuous expansion.
Aspiration for freedom and democracy stands out in our peoples’ common history and brought each of us in our own way to freedom and republic," the message reads.
The President of Italy expressed confidence that in the framework of the forthcoming state visit to Italy, President Sarkissian would be hosted at the Quirinal Palace.
