The Armenian Opposition Homeland Salvation Movement will Hold a Rally on February 20

The armenian opposition Homeland Salvation Movement will hold a rally on February 20, today I simply invited the people to discuss issues, and it doesn’t matter to me how many people show up. This is what candidate of the opposition Homeland Salvation Movement for Prime Minister Vazgen Manukyan told reporters at Liberty Square today, and he assured that there will be a big rally on February 20.

“We will discuss our future actions on February 20, but we held an urgent meeting after we found out that even though we were told that the authorities can’t do anything with regard to the situation in Syunik Province, it turned out that another capitulation agreement had been signed behind our backs. In addition, a decision was made to not let reporters provide coverage in Syunik Province. This sparks doubt that, in addition to the six points in the agreement, there are other agreements. In other words, there are things that we don’t know about, and our country is heading towards perdition,” he said.

A rally is being held at Liberty Square in downtown capital Yerevan on the initiative of ex-PM Vazgen Manukyan, Armenia’s opposition Homeland Salvation Movement’s candidate for PM.

Manukyan on Thursday had issued a statement in which he had noted as follows in particular:

"Do not wait for the steps of political parties. All national political forces stand with you, but you decide the future of the country.

I call to gather at Liberty Square [in Yerevan] tomorrow, on February 12, at 15:00, and decide what we have to do. We are losing our Homeland right before our eyes."
