Armenian Genocide Stamps Issued in Uruguay
Uruguay has issued stamps dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide joining the initiative of Armenian honorable Consul in Uruguay Ruben Abrahamyan and the Head of the Uruguayan Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Archbishop Hakob Glnchyan.
The presentation of the stamp was held in the main hall of the Foreign Affairs of Uruguay. The main speaker at the ceremony, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uruguay Rodolfo Nin Novoa noted that by officially issuing the stamp "Uruguay reaffirms its position on the Armenian Genocide, and expresses its full support to the struggle for recognition of the Armenian Genocide."
